That Jaguar inspection report probably saved me from a money pit

I’ve been casually hunting for a used Jaguar XF for a couple of months now and finally found one in Dubai that looked really clean, full service history, low mileage, the whole package. The seller was friendly and even let me take it for a long test drive, so I was pretty much sold. But my brother kept telling me not to trust the history alone because Jaguars can hide expensive electrical and air suspension problems that don’t show up on a short drive. So I paid for a Quality Jaguar used car inspection report in Dubai and honestly it was the best money I’ve spent in a while. The inspector went through everything, scanned all the modules, checked the undercarriage, and found that the air suspension compressor was on its way out and there was a persistent fault code that had been recently cleared. The seller tried to say it was nothing but I wasn’t about to take that risk. I walked away and I’m still looking, but at least I’m not stuck with a repair bill that would have cost more than the car is worth. Anyone else had a close call like this with a used Jag?
