I’m in the final stages of buying a 2017 520i from a private seller in Abu Dhabi and I keep going back and forth on whether I should get it checked before handing over the cash. The car looks clean, drives well, and the owner has some service records but nothing that gives me full confidence. I’ve heard these cars can have hidden cooling issues or oil leaks that don’t show up unless you really know what you’re looking at. A friend told me I shouldn’t skip a Quality BMW pre purchase check in Abu Dhabi because it’s the only way to know what you’re actually buying. I’ve never done one before so I’m not sure what it covers or how long it takes, but I’d rather spend a bit now than regret it later. Has anyone here paid for one of these on a used BMW? Did it give you useful information or did it just confirm what you already knew? Any feedback would help me decide because the seller is waiting for my answer.
